Netizens found themselves furious at the idea that Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. could agree to a term-sharing agreement with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Lakas-CMD co-chairman and Quezon Governor Danilo Suarez recently said that Duterte-Carpio and Marcos might do it.
“They can have a term-sharing agreement. One will lead for three years then give way to the vice president. So, one will give up the position after three years,” he said in Filipino.
However, Marcos said he doesn’t like the idea, adding that it’s “not a good formula.”
“That is not a good formula for stability. The reason why it’s 6 years is because we want some stability in the policies of government. And if we change government every 3 years… Then urong-sulong na naman tayo,” he said during a visit to Batangas.
The public concurred with Marcos, saying that the possibility of term-sharing is ridiculous.
Dr. Tony Leachon said the idea is unacceptable.
If at first the idea is absurd and unacceptable then there is no hope for it.
It’s ridiculous.
That’s why we are messed up. https://t.co/soj9x1TMS3— Tony Leachon MD (@DrTonyLeachon) November 12, 2021
Netizens also wonder why there are already talks of term-sharing when their winning isn’t even a guarantee.
Feeling mananalo itong magnanakaw na ito at yong anak ng inutil ka 3 to 6 months kuno hindi nyo na kami maloloko sa mga pangako na panggago nyo

Term-sharing? Look at these people. Pathetic. Stop that nonsense. Bakit, sigurado naba kayo na may BBM-Inday tandem at mananalo sila? What a shame.

It ever happens, then the Philippine system would look like a joke.
Unacceptable, if that happens then it is an insult, if not mockery, on the part of the electorate.

Ganyan kabobo at kagahaman sa kapangyarihan ang mga walang kwentang politiko dito sa atin. Walang pakialam sa buhay ng mga Pilipino. Nakakaawa naman tayo.

Duterte-Carpio left Hugpong ng Pagbabago and moved to Lakas-CMD after cancelling her reelection bid.
On Saturday, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, Marcos’ party, adopted Duterte-Carpio as its vice-presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte will also be running for the vice presidency. His presidential bet is his long-time ally Senator Bong Go who just withdrew his bid for the vice presidency.
