Opinion columnist Lolito Go was surprised to see supporters of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos attack him after he claimed to have turned down an offer from the political opponents of Vice President Leni Robredo.
In a Facebook post, Go said he was promised a handsome amount if he’d withdraw his support for Robredo and work for the opposition.
But he eventually resisted and chose to save his dignity.
“Inaamin ko, the offer was irresistible.
“But I trust my instincts, I trust that the universe will give me what I deserve if I consistently and persistently fight for what is true and what is right against all odds,” he added.
Following his post, Go claimed supporters of Marcos went after him relentlessly despite never mentioning what party offered him a job.
The NUJP member used to be pro-Duterte but shifted to Robredo. Here he shares a Christmas carol dedicated to Robredo and vice presidential candidate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.
Despite facing several disqualification cases based on his past conviction, Marcos is still favored to win the presidency.
