A netizen has gone viral after sharing an encouraging post for everyone on social media to reflect on.
Claren Nicko Vivo couldn’t help but walk down memory lane when he went to a certain mall in Sta. Rosa. The place made him reminisce about his high school days when he’d hang out with his friends frequently.
“Habang nasa foodcourt ako, I realized and reminisce a lot of moments nung nakakakita ko ng batch of students na nakain ng Chowking at Kwek kwek at talagang excited na excited sila.” he wrote.
Now that he is employed, he realizes that his lifestyle has improved in some way. Before, he’d struggle to get anything he wanted, but a job changed that.
“Yung dating chicken fillet ng Mcdo na binibili mo every month pagbaba mo ng jeep galing school, ngayon nabibili mo na every after OT. Yung kinukulit mo sa parents mo na movies pag may gusto kang panuorin, ngayon ikaw na mismo nagbubook. Dati pag may damit ka na gusto, sasabihin mo babalikan mo na lang kasi kulang pa ipon mo, ngayon, babalikan mo na lang dahil baka may makita ka pang iba na mas maganda pa. Yung dating Zagu na nililibre mo sa girlfriend/boyfriend mo, ngayon naka-unli Samgyup pa kayo. Yung dating bente pesos na Lugaw Queen mo, ngayon may pera ka na para palagyan ng laman at itlog. Yung dating load mo na kinukupit mo sa tindahan niyo para matext yung crush mo, ngayon ikaw na mismo nagloload sa sarili mo gamit ang e-wallet mo.” he said.
He wants others to realize that they too should look at how far they’ve gone before concluding that they barely progressed in life.
“If you ever think na wala kang progress, just look back. At makikita mo kung gaano ng kalayo ang narating mo.”
