A netizen’s message to Filipino parents has gone viral on social media.
Alex Diaz Tatoy went on facebook to ask all parents to refrain from rejecting their children’s attempts to spoil them with delicious cuisine.
In Filipino culture, it’s a common thing or a piece of advice for children to grow their savings rather than spending money on their parents.
Tatoy understood this, but somehow doesn’t entirely agree with the norm.
What he thought, parents should show their gratitude to their children every time they are offered to be treated.
He believed that children spending time with their parents are more important than just having money.
“Hindi po natin ikina-praktikal o ikina-simple every time na pinipili natin ang pera over bonding kasama ang anak.”
“Money is important but it shouldn’t be worshipped,” he said.
Speaking for all the children, Tatoy wished more parents would understand that their kids are more than happy to spoil them.
