Raissa Robles blasts Bongbong Marcos after shoplifting issue resurfaces

The claim remains unverified but comes up every now and then when Robles becomes too critical of somebody or something.

Raissa Robles had to put columnist Rigoberto “Bobi” Tiglao in his place after he brought up the issue of her allegedly shoplifting.

Robles, a known critic of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos, shared a post on Twitter that joked about the former senator also riding a motorcycle to his rally, except the driver’s wallet was stolen.

The joke stems from a photo of Vice President Leni Robredo getting a lift from a Marcos supporter driving a motorcycle to greet her supporters in a Cavite venue.

Many found it funny except for Tiglao. He purposely went after Robles by bringing up a decade-old issue of her being a shoplifter.

The rumor was first made in 2012, which said that Robles was caught stealing at a boutique shop in Greenhills and that she was never charged because her husband convinced the owner not to pursue legal actions.

The claim remains unverified but comes up every now and then when Robles becomes too critical of somebody or something.

In a response, Robles asked Tiglao why he hasn’t criticized Marcos for always being absent in debates and the family’s ill-gotten wealth. He has yet to respond.

Tiglao served as the spokesperson and chief of staff of former president Gloria Arroyo in 2001.
