Despite the embarrassment in Bicol, Salvador Panelo still won’t endorse VP Leni Robredo as president

In an interview, Panelo said despite the embarrassment he experienced–he’d “never endorse Leni.”

Senatorial aspirant Salvador Panelo was left with no choice but to throw up the “L” sign with his fingers in support of presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo during a rally in Bicol.

During his turn to speak, he urged the crowd to always vote for candidates who come from the region. He also expected them to collectively say “Bongbong” when he said “Marcos.” Instead, the attendees threw up their Ls and chanted the vice president’s name.

Surprised, Panelo decided to go with the locals and threw one of his own as he sarcastically danced a little. The crowd also chanted “Kiko” when Panelo asked them who their vice-presidential crowd is.

According to an attendee, the former presidential spokesperson had a discussion with the organizer.

“Kaya wag isipin, ipilit, o umasa na kakampink ako,” he said.

He explained that only the Marcos-Duterte tandem could finish what Pres. Rodrigo Duterte started hence his support for the pair.

“[Sila] lamang ang makapagtuloy ng mga pagbabago ni Pres. Duterte, kaya sila ang malaya at buong pusong sinusuportahan ko at ang PDP-Laban,” he added.
