ABS-CBN is soon to open an office in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Sharon Cuneta reposted a message from Cinema Sala on Instagram detailing the upcoming move by the media giant.
The post said ABS-CBN International is looking for an office assistant or coordinator.
“This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a legacy while also being involved in starting a company from the ground floor.
“Qualifications include experience with script coverage, networking, organizing meetings, rolling calls, & scheduling.
“Candidates should also be detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, & interested in learning about different cultures. Please send resumes to [email protected]!” said the entry.
The move aims to produce content that caters to American viewers and other demographics.
“@abscbn is the first network in SE Asia and one of the oldest commercial television broadcasters in Asia.
“It is the largest content creation studio in the Philippines, producing shows across the different networks and digital platforms in the Philippines and the Asian region.
“The goal of opening the LA office is to develop, collect, and curate material to produce from Hollywood, for the US and the world,” it added.

In 2019, ABS-CBN struck a deal with Electric Entertainment which Filipino-American producer Dean Devlin owns.
Last year, former ABS-CBN executive and Star Magic Head Direk Lauren Dyogi said he’d like to see local talents make it to the international stage.
“To date, Star Magic is the biggest talent agency in the country and we continue to grow our family. As they say, there is strength in numbers. Our actors, singers, hosts, comedians, and social media influencers will work together, collaborate and create content for various platforms,” he said during Star Magic artists’ contract signing at the Black Pen Day event in June 2021.
“We dream to grow bigger and go global. To see our artists perform alongside the best artists in the world is what we will strive to achieve,” he added.
