We’ve scoured the web and asked the public which restaurants should be on the list. From the local halo-halo to ice cream cakes, the Philippines has all these different kinds of desserts and specialty shops to satisfy your craving.
Here’s our list of the must-visit food shops to cool you down this summer:
Aling Taleng’s (Pagsanjan, Laguna)
Don’t ever leave Laguna unless you’ve gone to Aling Taleng’s. Their halo-halo is so good, you won’t need to add sugar. Put up in 1933, Aling Taleng’s is still one of the tourist spots in Pagsanjan, Laguna. Visit Aleng Taleng’s at 169 General Luna Street, Barangay Maulawin, Pagsanjan, Laguna.
Aling Foping’s (Davao City)
Tired of the conventional halo-halo? Aling Foping’s lets you customize your halo-halo. You can just tick off which ingredients you’d like to have in your dessert. Located in Matina Town Square, Davao City, Aling Foping’s is a must-stop in the gimmick center of Davao City.
Halo-Halo sa Aplaya (Calamba, Laguna)
Halo-halo sa Aplaya is a humble yet popular halo-halo store in Calamba, Laguna. Hungry? They also serve local specialties. Halo-halo sa Aplaya is located in J.P. Burgos St., Calamba, Laguna.
Kabigting’s Halo-halo (Pampanga and Quezon City)
The pride of Arayat, Pampanga, Kabigting’s Halo-Halo now has a branch in Quezon City. Their halo-halo is not just special, but also nutritious. They have been featured in different TV shows and magazines. You may visit Kabigting’s Halo-halo in Banawe, Quezon City, Marquee Mall in Angeles, Pampanga and in Robinson’s Starmills in San Fernando Pampanga.
Razon’s (Nationwide)
Razon’s of Guagua Pampanga, although now commercialized and visible in malls, has kept their original recipe and still uses fine ice for their halo-halo. They also serve other Filipino specialties. Click this link for their store locations.

Going to Bacolod? Don’t ever miss going to Calea’s. With a wide selection of ice cream cakes, your taste buds will definitely be happy, and you will feel cool too! Calea’s is located in Lacson St., Bacolod City.
Ice Giants (Cebu and Davao)

Ice Castle (Cebu)
If you’re in Cebu and you’re craving for halo-halo, visit Ice Castle. They have different kinds of halo-halo for your different halo-halo cravings. You wouldn’t notice Cebu’s hot weather when you are in Ice Castle. Ice Castle branches are located at SM, Ayala Center Cebu, Parkmall and at Raintree Mall in Cebu.
Magnolia Flavor House (Quezon City)
Formerly Nestle Creamery, Magnolia Flavor House houses all kinds of ice cream desserts. Located in different malls in Manila, Magnolia Flavor House takes us back to the time when our parents would bring us to the ice cream shop. Visit any of their shops in Robinson’s Magnolia or SM North in Quezon City and at Robinson’s Place Las Pinas.
Nothing But Desserts (Iloilo)
Nothing But Desserts has a wide range of cold drinks, ice cream, and other cold desserts. If you plan to visit Iloilo, make sure to stop in this shop and taste nothing but desserts. Nothing but Desserts is in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Igloo (Davao)
Igloo Restaurant serves different kinds of cold desserts like halo-halo and mais con yelo. They also have combo meals to satisfy your appetite as well. Igloo can be found in Gaisano Mall of Davao.
Sebastian’s Cold Comfort (Pasay City)
Sebastian’s Cold Comfort offers unique ice cream flavors like Fro-Ya (Frozen Yakult), Peppermint Brownie, Champorado and Chocoholics Anonymous among others. If you want ice cream with a twist, Sebastian’s is the way to go. Visit SM Mall of Asia to get a taste of Sebastian’s cold comfort.
The Iscreamist (Quezon City)
The Iscreamist has made-to-order ice creams that are only prepared on the spot. Eating their different flavored ice creams is a unique experience, too, since they use liquid nitrogen. There’s no cooler way to eat one. The Iscreamist is in Magiting, Diliman, Quezon City.
Mad Mark’s Sandwich and Frozen Desserts (Pasig)
Can’t get enough home-made ice cream? Try Mad Mark’s Half Baked Madagascar, Salted Sumatra, and Javan Hot Chocolate. Mad Mark’s is in Glorietta 5, Makati City.
Blissful Delights (Sta. Cruz, Manila)
Can’t get enough with just one scoop of ice cream? Ice cream all you can at Blissful Delights. They have been featured on TV and they take pride in their Fall of Jericho, the 18-scoop ice cream concoction. If you’re able to finish off this 2.5-kilogram ice cream monster, you get to be on their wall of fame. Blissful Delights is in Broadview Towers, Mayhaligue St., Sta. Cruz, Manila.
