Maid allegedly steals P50k worth of gadgets from employer

Netizen Marie Andrea Abesamis shared her ordeal with a maid who apparently stole P50k worth of gadgets and P500 cash from her.

Abesamis identified the maid as Maribel Mag aso of Davao City, whom she hired last month through an unnamed agency she has been transacting with since 2012.

According to Abesamis’s Facebook post made on August 11, Mag aso revealed her previous jobs and employers as well as her salaries during her first day with them. She even shared that she’s into gadgets and owns an Acer laptop, an iPad and five mobile phones. However, Abesamis noticed that Mag aso was only using one mobile phone at that time.

On her fourth day with them, Abesamis’s gadgets including her Samsung S6 Edge and its charger, a brand new Lenovo A6000-I android phone, as well as her son’s Apple iPad mini  went missing. Even the P500 cash inside her wallet was apparently taken.

Upon discovering this, Abesamis went to look for Mag aso but found that she and her belongings were already gone.

Abesamis attempted to get out of the house to get help but unfortunately, Mag aso locked her inside using the double lock. Luckily, her neighbours saw her and helped her get out of the house.

Mag aso is currently facing charges of qualified theft.
