Thailand. A TV commercial for a Chinese mobile company being shot in Bangkok became a scene of tragedy as a stunt went horribly wrong. As part of the TVC, a woman was supposed to bungee jump off the bridge. Unfortunately, they misjudged the length of the bungee cord and the woman’s head hit the water before being submerged for some time.
According to reports, one of the crew members was supposed to go first to test the stunt, but procedures were not followed.
The short video which was uploaded by a Brazilian tourist, Pedro Giafferis, shows the woman being pushed from the platform and her hitting the water head first.
“They pushed her, but not with bad intentions, they didn’t know that it would end like that,” said Giafferis.
The safety team which were on two boats with divers, immediately rushed to the scene to rescue the woman. Giafferis said the victim passed out for a couple of seconds but did not drown. “She was awake, just dizzy from the impact.”
The woman did not suffer any serious injuries, but was taken to the hospital to get checked.
