Mere days after popping the question, Paul Rusher cheated on fiancée Rebecca Lewis by exchanging messages with a gorgeous Russian model named Kirsten White. Kirsten made him feel like he was unhappy with his relationship with Rebecca. She also said that she’s the daughter of a California millionaire who has stocks in a Nigerian firm.
Unaware at first that something was going on with her fiancé while she was at work, Rebecca was puzzled why he seemed uninterested in their wedding in spite of having already setting a date. When he told her she should go to a wedding fair by herself, she was soon suspicious.
Since she was the one who set up his Facebook account, she decided to log in—and found that Paul had been chatting with Kirsten for months. The two planned on going on a trip around the world together. The girl had even asked him for £2,000 (Php143,500) to buy a plane ticket so she could be with him.
After she confronted Paul, he dumped her saying he would rather be with Kirsten.

Brokenhearted, Rebecca moved out of their home and went back to her parents. She felt suspicious, however, that something was amiss with Paul and Kirsten’s relationship. A friend suggested Paul might be a victim of a scam.
After some sleuthing, Rebecca discovered Kirsten’s photos after searching for “romance scam” on Google. At first, Paul would not believe her but admitted that he was puzzled why Kirsten was asking for money when her dad is supposedly a millionaire.
When he finally believed Rebecca and broke up with Kirsten, the latter simply told him she was not interested in him any longer and had a new boyfriend anyway.
Second Chance at Love
Everyone, including her parents, were horrified that Rebecca gave Paul another chance and welcomed him back even after what he did to her. They were all right with her helping him out with his scammer of a “girlfriend,” but didn’t think she would be so gullible to welcome him back.
Rebecca thinks he deserves a second chance, however, saying that people make mistakes and their relationship has become better the second time around. Meanwhile, Paul is thrilled that Rebecca helped him and forgave him, saying he would never cheat and leave her again.
The two are now saving up for their wedding despite disapproval from Rebecca’s family and friends.
