Netizen Crystie S. (not her real name) was shocked to find a mother put her toddler on a leash so that she could sleep at a food court inside 999 Mall in Divisoria on Sunday, December 6.
According to Crystie, she was waiting for her companion when she noticed a mother seemingly neglecting her toddler inside the mall. After seeing that the little boy was roaming around unattended, the mall’s security guard called the mother’s attention.
But instead of giving proper attention to her son, the mother allegedly opted to tie a leash on the child and then go back to sleep. Crystie said that the mother spanked her child severely whenever he would cry.
A good samaritan was kind enough to give a hard-boiled egg to the hungry child. Eventually, the tired toddler ended up sleeping on the floor.
Although Crystie wanted to talk to the child’s mother, she decided not to for fear that she may hurt her. Before leaving the mall, Crystie reported the incident to the mall security guard. However, Crystie didn’t get the chance to see what the security did to solve the issue.
