Dr. David Hill of Wilmington, North Carolina has revealed the best way to get rid of troublesome earwax using items commonly found in the house.
In his informative video, Dr. Hill said that earwax can be easily removed using a mixture of alcohol and vinegar. By mixing one part white vinegar to one part alcohol, you can create a concoction that will loosen up the earwax and force it to flow out.
According to Dr. Hill, earwax forms a protective barrier against dirt, insects, bacteria as well as fungus that might cause infection inside the ear. This is the reason why it is recommended that you leave your earwax as is.
Dr. Hill added that the ear naturally removes the wax through the skin that grows outwards slowly that takes the wax out. The paediatrician advised against the use of cotton swabs and Q-tips as these items will push the wax further down the ear canal.
