MANILA, Philippines. A young couple who allegedly had their baby aborted apparently announced the deed on social media.
Photos of a certain Galita Palino Arnel Jhethro and his partner sharing the results of their pregnancy test before and after an apparent abortion have earned the ire of netizens. It has not been confirmed whether or not the said Facebook account was hacked.
In the first photo showing a pregnancy test with a positive result, Jhethro admitted that he was not yet ready to be a father and sought the advice of Facebook users on how to abort a child. The photo was uploaded on April 2.
He wrote, “Pero paano ba mag-agas ng bata? Parang di pa ako ready. Ano ba pwedeng ipainom para matunaw? Suggest please.”
[How do you abort a child? I think I’m not yet ready. What should be taken (referring to drugs or substances) to remove it? Please suggest.]
Meanwhile, the second photo uploaded on April 6 showed a seemingly rejoicing couple and a pregnancy test with a negative test result.
In the caption, Jhethro wrote: “Yes, thanks Lord natanggal na namin yong bata ehheh. Negative na siya. Gagawa na ulit kami ng bago hahahaha.”
(Thank you Lord the child was removed. The result is negative. We’ll make a new one.)

Netizens quickly expressed their anger over the photos after these were shared on the Facebook page Tambayan ni Berto. Many condemned the young couple for apparently killing their unborn child and several parents who had their kids at a young age shared how they were able to raise them despite their challenging situations. Many of them even shared photos of their kids as proof that they made the right choice for them.
