Davao City Mayor and presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte has volunteered to reveal the contents of his Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) dollar account.
In a press conference with the Philippine Star on Wednesday, May 4, Duterte showed a certification from the BPI Julia Vargas Branch containing the latest amount on his dollar account which is a little more than 5,000 USD.
At the same event, Duterte also presented a copy of the account’s transactions which he said was stagnant since December 2013. The latest transaction it contains was the 10 USD deposit by the camp of Liberal Party presidential candidate Mar Roxas made at the BPI New Farmers Market branch. However, Duterte had only presented documents, which covered the account’s transaction history beginning March 31, 2014.
