MANILA, Philippines. The heartbreaking story of Earl, the two-year-old boy who has been missing for almost two decades, touched the hearts of many viewers after it was featured in the July 16 episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.
The family of Earl, whose full name is Ernesto Miguel Dollente, has spent almost two decades looking for him since he was abducted from their home in May 1997. Earl’s disappearance remained a mystery and was considered a cold case by investigators.
Almost twenty years later, Earl’s family decided to seek the help of the media to find him. More than ever, Earl’s mother Laurie, who suffers from stage 4 lung cancer, is determined to locate him as she is already racing against time. Through the GMA 7 show KMJS, the family was able to share pictures of the young Earl hoping it could give clues.
“Earl, anak, here is mommy, your real mom. I don’t know if they call you Earl, but Earl is your name. Please, anak, mommy is sick. Come back to us, that’s all we pray. That’s all we want, anak, for you to come back, it’s been 19 long years, it’s about time for you to come back to us. We are your family. We’re waiting for you, anak. We love you so much,” Laurie said.
Like most adopted children, Armstrong Miggy has been longing to find his real family since 2012. After netizens saw his striking resemblance to Earl and some of his family members, Miggy is considering the possibility that he could be the young boy abducted in 1997.

(verabtim)

Netizens are hopeful that Miggy is indeed the “Earl” the Dollente family is looking for.
