Have you been to a Jollibee branch recently and ordered a Chickenjoy? Chances are, you were not able to order the iconic Filipino meal and their other offerings.
Some Jollibee branches in the metro and nearby provinces are currently operating in limited menu including the popular Chickenjoy. Netizens expressed disappointments in Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #ChickenSad.
Jollibee will never be the same without the ChickenJoy. In a statement sent to GMA News Online, Harvey Ong, vice president for marketing, admitted that the fast food chain is indeed experiencing shortage on some of their branches’ offering due to an “ongoing major systems upgrade” for their delivery service and assured the public that they are working on having their products available the soonest time possible.
Jollibee’s official Twitter account also replied to some inquiries in the social network saying that they are currently upgrading their systems. Some Jollibee stores also posted notices about this shortage to inform the public of their current available menu.
On a report by Miguel R. Camus at Philippine Daily Inquirer, it says that Jollibee temporarily closed 72 stores across its brands in Metro Manila and nearby cities have been temporarily closed over the lack of popular menu items at its outlets.
