Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough is a comedy film that highlights and satirizes the country’s mainstream film industry particularly the rise of rom-com films.

Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2 maybe is one of the most known films in the film fest but still here are 10 things you might want to know about this comedy sequel.

1. This is the only sequel among the 8 official entries. With the exclusion of Enteng Kabisote and Mano Po, this film became the sole film sequel in this year’s MMFF.

2. The film is Eugene Domingo’s 2nd MMFF entry where she’s the lead actress. After her 2013 entry Kimi Dora, this is Domingo’s 2nd MMFF entry where she is the lead actress.

3. It was graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

4. If the first Babae Sa Septic Tank film is a satire about the indie film making,Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2 is a satire on commercial/formula film making.

5. It is the only comedy film among the 8 entries. With family drama, horror thriller, teen romance and romance with animation,Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2 became the only comedy film in the roster of MMFF entries.

6. All of the main cast from the first Babae Sa Septic Tank film were casted also in the sequel.

7. JM De Guzman is the only cast from the 1st movie who was able to reprise his character. With everything that happened to JM last year, he was the only one from the original cast not to be casted in the sequel.

8. The sequel was influenced by the rise of rom-coms in the Philippine movie industry. According to its director Marlon Rivera, they decided to make the sequel because of the country’s current fascination with rom-com films.

9. The film’s title was referenced to Dan Villegas’ 2015 MMFF movie Walang Forever starring Jennelyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales.

10. Joel Torre and Jericho Rosales are first choice by the producer’s for their roles.
