A new tourist attraction in India has been the talk of the town lately, and it involves posing for a picture with a deadly cobra.
This man, identified as Baburam Jakhar, was ready to pose for a picture with the snake, until, unknowingly, he was bitten by the serpent.
The 35-year-old was guided by a snake charmer, but to no avail, he was bitten right after it touches his skin. The incident was captured on tape, and was reported to happen in Jodhpur district in India.
Bitten
In a video posted by The New Indian Express, it can be seen that a snake charmer is playing with the venomous cobra. He tried to circle it around the victim’s neck to complete a religious ceremony in Lohawat.
Unfortunately, Jakhar was bitten right on his temple during the quick ceremony. After the video was cut, he felt something strange in his temple and asked if he was bitten.
After the charmer dismissed Jakhar’s hunches, he lost consciousness and was taken to a medicine man at a nearby temple. It was said that he needs is a ‘conjuration’. The victim’s condition just became worse and he was instantly rushed to a hospital.
His body absorbed the venom within an hour after the bite’s exposure.
On the other hand, the Lowahat police launched a manhunt and an arrest warrant for the snake charmer. According to the authorities, he is charged for “culpable homicide not amounting to murder”.
