About UT
UT, short for UNIQLO T-shirt, was launched in 2003, and since then, the collection has assembled a wide range of content from current pop culture to arts and music, even to movies. This huge range of T-shirts are used as tools for free self-expression. And this year, UNIQLO will return to the origins of T-shirt, while raising the bar in offering the styles of authentic pop culture.
Despite its huge global sales of approximately 1.7864 trillion yen for the fiscal year of 2016, the company continues to open large=scale stores in some of the world’s most important cities and locations, as part of its ongoing efforts to solidify its status as a truly global brand. With a total of 1,800 stores all over the world, UNIQLO has become the leading specialty retailer in Japan.
