- A Facebook fanpage named Catcalled in the Philippines shared an alarming post regarding a certain group that trades sexual contents.
- It is a secret group entitled “Bible Study of Pastor Hokage.”
The web is known as a central repository of all kinds of information, from the instructive data and down to the horrible ones. Due to the inability to filter the contents of the internet, the sensitive ones have become pretty accessible in just a few tweaks.
A lot of netizens have fallen victim to horrendous acts of the perpetrators – who kept a copy of their sexual material, and shared it with others to make it worse.
The internet has lost faith in humanity once again, after reading a post from a Facebook page named Catcalled in the Philippines.
Apparently, the page has been receiving a lot of messages regarding a particular secret group that exchanges scandals and pictures of women, including their profile.
Read the whole post below:
““Can you help me. Because one guy post my pictures in one of the group in FB named “Bible study of Pastor Hokage“. I don’t know the person. I don’t have any access in the group since it was a secret group.” – From sender
Ok. This page has been bugging me for months. They are a group that trades scandals and pics/profiles of women without their permission or awareness. They are a secret page so it can’t be reported.
Guaranteed though that they will retaliate against this post by calling for a mass reporting. They will also try to invade/harass this page, as other pages have done so in the past. Although, they will out themselves as members and I will collect their names and accounts.
If you have a friend, officemate, relative or anyone who is a member of this page, call them out. The page glorifies misogyny and treating women as sexual objects.
Brace yourselves though, they would most likely harass anyone who calls them out. – Koko”
The page included screenshots of the actual group that is using religious words to describe their crowd. What’s even disheartening is that the members also comment the word “Amen” in certain posts in the group.
“Update: I deleted the pic of the sender by her request. She has been getting a lot of harassing messages from people. She even considered having this post taken down and leaving FB. Removing her pic is the middle ground that we found.”
As an action, the admin already escalated the issue to the Community Standards Department, and hopefully, the local authorities would also be aware of this incident.
On the other hand, here’s what the people of the internet has to say:
It is truly dismaying that the members engaged themselves in such activity considering that each one of them came to the world through their mothers – who are all women. For sure, some of them also have sisters, which make the members look like they do not give importance to their female family members.
To avoid getting involved with the alarming incident, always keep such photos and videos in private where no one else will be able to gain access to it.
