Approximately 2,400 residents of Northern Hiroshima have been rescued and are now taken good care of by the authorities and evacuation operations are still continuing. It is very pleasant to hear that a lot of families have been rescued. However, those who got trapped inside the landslide ruins are in a very life threatening situation as experts say that an average people can only last more or less than 3 days without food or water.

To add insult to injury, rescue operations in two districts in Hiroshima were reportedly held immobile as the hills become more and more deformed which poses danger for the rescuers and volunteers due to possible landslide reoccurrence. Many homes in the said districts were located close to the mountains which makes it hard for them to be reached by the authorities.
