- A Facebook netizen named Jiana Zarate shared an infuriating post on her personal account.
- She complained about the hospital after her daughter died and discovered that she had unhygienic stitches on various parts of her body.
Many people rely on hospitals to treat them when they are ill as they are confident that the medical practitioners would know better than them since it is their specialization.
Every medical staff surely knows how hard it is to pass and finish their studies; therefore it is truly worth it for them the moment they step on their chosen field. Because of the same reason, they make sure that they will be able to properly apply what they had learned and do everything to keep their patient alive.
However, not all medical practitioners are committed to their vow, as there are professionals who didn’t even bother treating their patient right.
A mother of a deceased kid named Jiana Zarate, publicly criticized the hospital she brought her child into after they mistreated her daughter.
Read the whole story below:
According to Zarate, they took her child to the hospital due to the reason that she was dehydrated. At first, the hospital addressed their concern as soon as possible and gave the little girl all the necessary medications for her fast recovery.
However, things went wrong after the doctor asked for another blood sample from the kid.
Even though the staffs didn’t give her any details of the possible reasons why the child was dehydrated, she didn’t complain since she thought they were the ones who know more about a person’s health.
But when the child was asked for a blood sample, the hospital didn’t bother to let a professional do the job and had an intern do it instead. She had nothing against the intern, but the person seemed unknowledgeable as the intern couldn’t inject the needle properly.
After the child received paracetamol and antibiotic at the same time, suddenly, she experienced some unusual occurrences that had Zarate worried sick. She begged the hospital to do an ultrasound on her to find out the reason why the kid’s stomach is bloated and opted for x-ray instead.
The doctor said that the kid probably has Intus, but wasn’t confirmed as there were no symptoms shown.
The staffs convinced the mother to have her on NGT to help the kid breathe normally – which she agreed to after seeing that her daughter was in pain.
However, her child’s condition seemed to worsen after following what the staffs recommended.
Everything seemed to happen in a blink of an eye. One moment, they were telling Zarate that they need to conduct surgery on the kid, and later asked the parents to pump the kid’s heart without letting them know that there were going to put a tube in the kid’s heart.
The only that she knows is that her child is trying to survive.
After they were able to revive the child, the staffs told them again about the surgery. When Zarate and her husband told them that they were going to transfer her to another hospital, the staffs discouraged them by saying negative things which made them more uneasy.
Without even letting the parents know, the staffs proceeded to do surgery on her. After the operation, they simply called the parents to let them know that the kid had passed away already.
Zarate only realized that the hospital indeed mistreated her daughter after the funeral staff noticed the stitches on her body that wasn’t even properly done.
The kid had bruises on the side of her neck, a large stitch on her stomach and another one in her ankle.
Zarate’s child died without even receiving a proper diagnosis from the doctors who operated on her daughter. Aside from the fact that they didn’t explain why her daughter suddenly became worse before she was brought to the hospital.
Moreover, the parents were furious after seeing the stitches and the label ‘experiment’ as it gives them the idea that the doctors and staffs only used her child for an experiment.
On the other hand, the netizens expressed their sympathy and condemned the hospital for what they had done to Zarate’s child.
The case of Zarate’s daughter is truly unfortunate as it appears that the people she had entrusted her daughter’s life of were inexperienced and probably unknowledgeable about the kid’s condition.
Although the kid’s life can’t be revived, Zarate and her husband know that the kid will forever remain as their little angel and that they will not keep quiet after everything that happened.
What are your thoughts on this matter? What should Zarate do to the hospital staff?
