Relationships can make or break a person.
Most of the time, love is the reason why people change and why they let someone enter their lives, even if they swore they wouldn’t. However, although it has a lot of good causes to a person, it can also be a reason for someone to be left broken and devastated.
Some people experience so much pain whenever they go through breakups – especially if they had loved their partners dearly. On the other hand, what’s more painful is when you know you are both ready to take the fall, but weren’t given the chance to enjoy the ride.
One of the millions of people who had gone through a similar experience is Angel Dei Peralta.
She shared on her social media account that she had a TOTGA or what we call the one that got away. Her tweets were later on shared onto Facebook by a fan page named SEARCH FOR THE “CRUSH NG BAYAN”.

According to Angel, she met this guy back during her high school days. He was well-known and rude, which were the reasons why she didn’t like him.
He would always make fun of her – which she realized was because he liked her. However, the man’s negative impression remained on her and turned him down to enter into a commitment with someone else.
Her ex-boyfriend cheated on her, and her TOTGA had been there for her throughout.
Even when their barkada had some gimmicks and would tease them together, she didn’t entertain it since they were both happy with their own partners at that time.
Finally, they both had a chance to take their relationship to a higher level when they broke up with their partners.
The man courted her – and she was truly happy with the kind of relationship they had. Even though they weren’t official that time, he made her feel loved in any way possible.
However, one day, the man told her something that made her uneasy.
She disregarded it and said yes to him after some time.
When he told her that he wishes that she would be her last love – it really did happen as the man passed away.
The incident happened for almost two years already, but she still hasn’t forgotten about him.
As a matter of fact, she got a tattoo with their endearment as a memory of their love.
Even though their relationship was short lived, no one could ever say that it wasn’t true love. The man patiently waited for her and loved her dearly. While Angel was left on her own and still got some positivity within.
Regardless of what had happened, she is still thankful that she felt how to be loved by him and that she was able to do the same for him.
Meanwhile, Angel’s story broke thousands of people’s hearts after reading the painful history of their love.
True love is not something that can be measured by any value, effort or time that two people spent together, but rather how much they proved their feelings to each other.
