- Man sends resume to the girl of his dreams
- Applying for love the formal way
Love is the most mysterious element in the world, you think so, too? It’s very playful. One moment you don’t care, then the next thing you know, you’re already head over heels for someone. It makes our go upside down, in a good way. Love lets you do things you thought you were never capable of doing.
Applicant for love
The Internet is once again #shookt when Ian Christopher Sudiacal posted a heartwarming update about his love life. His post began with,
“Mayroon akong kuwento…
Would you believe that his post was all about his application to court the girl of his dreams? Yes, he did send a résumé to Karla Mae Cantillan. But that doesn’t end there, the application form also had a cover letter attached to it? Definitely A for effort!
Kaya naman, hindi na ako magpapatumpik-tumpik pa at ngayon nga’y nag-apply na,” he said on his cover letter.
The story
He narrated that they both went to a spoken word event, he went to Katipunan, and hers was in Makati. They decided to meet at Cubao, but due to Makati traffic, he waited almost three hours. He was starting to get annoyed because he’s not really feeling well at the time. At one o’clock in the morning, Karla arrived, and they ate at a nearby fast food chain.
Two hours later, Karla was about to go home, then he contemplated. He was torn if he’s still going to push through. After moments of collecting himself, he pulled out his coat, she just laughed. He was open to possibilities.
Or worst, hindi ma-hire,” he said.
Ending? Karla approved the application. He walked her to the bus terminal and left Cubao for a writers’ retreat in Makati.
