Internet personality and vlogger Khifer Brosse has been detained after allegedly groping his friend’s female partner.
Brosse, whose real name is Daniel Tambulogan Butas, gained popularity through his humorous sketches and films. He often posts funny dance covers and remixes on social media, which have received millions of views and thousands of reactions from the online community.
Recently, Brosse was arrested and imprisoned after being accused of harassment by his alleged victim.
On January 4, 2023, the Philippine National Police-Cavite detained the YouTuber based on a court-issued warrant. Brosse’s current partner, Sabrina Paula Velasco, was understandably devastated by the news, particularly because she is currently pregnant.
Last year, the YouTuber attempted to apologize to his victim, but it seems that the victim decided to follow through with filing a complaint against him. The victim was reportedly the minor partner of one of his friends.
Sobrang lutang ako walang tulog walang kain dahil sa nangyari,” he added.
Michael Yu, the ex-boyfriend of the victim who was allegedly raped by Brosse, made a statement about the incident. Michael said that because he is also a vlogger, Brosse should apologize directly to the victim instead of to him. Michael also made it clear that he did not want his name to be associated with the harassment lawsuit.
Brosse has claimed that he was confused as to why a complaint had been filed against him, as he considered the victim a friend. He also stated that he apologized to both Michael and the victim, but the lawsuit against him was not dropped. He argued that they should just move forward with the settlement process.
