Netizens react to a pseudo-lady guard contestant on ‘It’s Showtime’

An elderly woman clad in a lady guard’s uniform stood in front of the line when Vice Ganda began talking to her.

A contestant of  It’s Showtime has gone viral after pretending to be a lady guard so she can join in on the segment.

During the program’s Isip Bata segment on May 4, several security personnel got chosen as contestants.

The hosts would usually converse with them first before jumping into the game.

An elderly woman clad in a lady guard’s uniform stood in front of the line when Vice Ganda began talking to her.

Vice asked the guard (referred to as Nanay Linda), on which school shelooks after as a lady guard.

However, Linda didn’t give an answer and only smiled and laughed.

Vice saw that she was uncomfortable and offered a glass of water. However, Linda said she was fine.

“Hindi po. Okay lang po ako.”

Vice again asked what school she was guarding and got nothing from Linda.

“Nanay, totoo ba kayong lady guard o binubudol niyo lang kami. Mukhang nagkabudulan na naman dito ah,” Vice joked.

Netizens reacted but also found it funny.

Linda, being there could’ve been a mistake by the talent coordinator.

Isip Bata is a fresh segment in which grown-up participants attempt to guess the answers given by 50 kids called madlang kids to the same question.

The children’s answers are presented in multiple choice format.

The segment also features a group of charming children known as Batang Cute-poArgus, Kulot, Lucas, and Colyn, who share their own answers to the questions. At the end of the round, only one out of the 20 contestants remains to play in the jackpot round called Ap-Pair Tayo.

The adult contestant selects one of the Batang Cute Po and attempts to match all three multiple-choice answers to win the P50,000 jackpot prize. Each correct answer is worth P10,000 if the participant fails to match all three answers.

The contestant picks their answers first, after which the host allows the chosen Batang Cute-po to answer the same set of questions.
