In a recent episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na,’ Cristy Fermin, Wendell Alvarez, and Romel Chika delved into discussions about the financial situation of Manny Pacquiao.
The conversation was sparked by the sale of Pacquiao’s house in the United States in 2021.
Cristy Fermin raised the question to Wendell Alvarez, asking about the reasons behind Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee selling properties. “Palagay mo anong dahilan ba’t nagbebenta ng properties sina Jinkee at Pacman?”
Wendell suggested that warnings were given to Pacquiao, advising him not to run for the presidency to avoid depleting his finances. “E, kasi ‘di ba noon pa maraming nagsasabi sa kaniya na ‘Pacman, ‘wag kang tumakbo sa panguluhan kasi mauubos ang pera mo doon’.”
Despite the cautionary advice, Pacquiao pursued his presidential bid, even in the face of warnings from politician Luis “Chavit” Singson.
Wendell humorously added that perhaps Jinkee needed new Outfit of the Day (OOTD) photos in connection to their property decisions.
Cristy speculated that Pacquiao’s consideration of returning to boxing might be linked to financial concerns. She commented on the potential mismatch if Pacquiao were to face a much younger opponent.
As of the time of writing this article, Manny Pacquiao has not issued any statements or reactions regarding these financial speculations.
Manny Pacquiao retired from boxing in 2021, leaving behind a remarkable record of 62 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws. Widely recognized as one of the greatest boxers in history, Pacquiao is the only boxer to win twelve major world titles in eight different weight divisions.
