Singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo faced criticism and accusations of unprofessionalism after a delay in his scheduled performance at a local mall left disappointed fans expressing their frustration on social media.
The singer swiftly responded to the allegations, offering an explanation for the unforeseen circumstances.
Hours prior to the anticipated show at a Quezon City shopping mall, Zack Tabudlo took to his Facebook page to share a photo alongside his bandmates and event staff, expressing apologies for technical difficulties.
According to Tabudlo, the complete sound system required for the event had not yet arrived, causing an unexpected delay in the performance.
“Hi to everyone at the trinoma event! we’ve been here for the past few hours pero wala pa din yung complete sound system for the event and di kami makatugtog. Just wanted to apologize for the technical difficulties. we’re here and we’re all just waiting. see you in a few!” Tabudlo conveyed in his Facebook post.
As the technical issues persisted, attendees grew increasingly frustrated, and criticisms surfaced on social media. One netizen labeled Tabudlo as unprofessional and accused him of being late.
Responding to the mounting backlash, Zack Tabudlo released a statement elucidating the circumstances surrounding the delay. He clarified that he and his team had arrived well before 6 PM, three hours ahead of the scheduled 7 PM show. Despite their early presence, the technical team, which had been on-site since 10:30 AM, faced challenges as the sound system was yet to be set up.
“My tech and my engineers po dumating dito 10:30 AM. THE WHOLE TIME wala pong setup. Earlier po dapat ang mga tech riders na napagusapan and kahit pa anong show yan before pa dapat magbukas ang any event andyan na ang setup,” Tabudlo detailed in his explanation.
Trinoma Mall, the venue of the event, also issued an official statement, extending apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delayed concert.
They explained that unforeseen adjustments to technical requirements led to delays from the sound system supplier, despite Zack Tabudlo and his team’s early arrival.
The mall assured patrons that collaborative efforts were made to promptly address technical challenges and prevent similar incidents in future concerts. They expressed gratitude to the audience for their understanding and continued support.
