BINI, hailed as the “Nation’s Girl Group,” and SB19, dubbed the “Kings of P-pop,” took center stage at Puregold’s ‘Nasa Atin ang Panalo’ thanksgiving concert held at the iconic Araneta Coliseum on July 12.
The atmosphere at the coliseum was electric as BINI kicked off the event with their hit track ‘Salamin, Salamin,’ setting the stage on fire with their vibrant choreography and infectious energy. Amidst the uproarious applause, SB19 member Justin surprised fans by joining BINI onstage, seamlessly blending in with the girl group’s performance.
BINI member Maloi couldn’t hide her amazement, remarking in an interview, “Memorize niya! Walang nagturo. He did not need us,” praising Justin’s spontaneous dance skills that captivated the audience.
The crowd’s excitement reached new heights when BINI’s Colet, Sheena, Gwen, and Stacey reciprocated the gesture by joining SB19 during their electrifying rendition of ‘Gento,’ one of SB19’s most popular hits. This unexpected collaboration between the two powerhouse groups delighted fans and underscored their mutual respect and admiration for each other’s talent.
Reflecting on the night’s performances, Justin shared, “‘Di ito first time. Masaya lang ‘yung ngayon bumabalik talaga. Angatan talaga. Makita ng mga tao, masaya talaga nag tutulungan. P-pop rise,” emphasizing the joyful camaraderie and collaborative spirit that defined the evening.
SB19’s Pablo, Ken, and Josh also made a memorable appearance during rapper Flow G’s set, injecting their signature style and energy into the performance of ‘High Score.’ Joined by Skusta Clee and Gloc 9, the collaboration brought the audience to their feet, further elevating the concert’s electrifying atmosphere.
Despite an earlier injury preventing her from performing with BINI, Mikha joined her fellow artists for the concert’s finale, where they collectively sang Puregold’s theme song. This poignant moment symbolized unity and celebration, resonating deeply with the audience.
The Puregold ‘Nasa Atin ang Panalo’ concert not only showcased BINI and SB19’s exceptional talent but also highlighted the burgeoning influence of P-pop in the Philippine music scene.
