Marikina deploys rescue teams for possible evacuation of residents

As of 7.00 PM, the Marikina River’s water level has decreased to 15.3 meters (first alarm).

The Office of Marikina 1st District Representative Maan Teodoro, together with Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro, is closely coordinating with the local government to ensure the safety of its constituents amid Typhoon Enteng’s impact.

According to Rep. Teodoro, rescue teams have been deployed and are prepared for possible evacuations, particularly in low-lying areas.

”Naka-monitor tayo sa sitwasyon ng ating mga kalsada at sisiguraduhing lahat ng ating mga kawani ay nasa heightened alert at handa sa anumang oras,” she said.

The lawmaker also called on Marikenos to stay vigilant and to remain informed via announcements from official sources.

As of 7.00 PM, the Marikina River’s water level has decreased to 15.3 meters (first alarm).

The Marikina City Government has also declared no classes for all levels on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
