Rosmar Tan to run for councilor in Manila in 2025

This marks her second attempt at a political career; she previously ran for office but was unsuccessful due to time constraints during her campaign and having recently given birth at that time.

Content creator and entrepreneur Rosmar Tan-Pamulaklakin has confirmed her candidacy for councilor in the 1st district of Manila in the upcoming 2025 elections.

During a recent media interview, Tan revealed that her decision to enter politics was influenced by encouragement from those around her.

Tan was one of the first celebrities to file her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) on October 1, marking the beginning of the filing period for the midterm elections next year.

Reflecting on her desire to help others, Rosmar mentioned that she has been involved in community service since childhood and believes that holding a government position would allow her to assist even more people. She clarified that it was not politicians who convinced her to run but rather a close friend who is a private citizen.

Tan announced her intention to run as an independent candidate, stating she is not affiliated with any political party.
