DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation launch ‘Pusta de Peligro’ campaign to promote Responsible Gaming

With this campaign, DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation aim to lead the charge in responsible gaming advocacy in the Philippines, ensuring that gaming remains a fun, mindful, and sustainable activity for everyone.

DigiPlus Interactive, in partnership with its social development arm, BingoPlus Foundation, officially launched the ‘Pusta de Peligro Responsible Gaming’ campaign with the premiere of three short films at Gateway Cinema.

The campaign underscores DigiPlus’ commitment to fostering a safe and enjoyable gaming environment through education, prevention, and intervention.

The campaign’s centerpiece includes three compelling short films designed to provoke self-reflection and encourage mindful gaming. Each film presents a relatable scenario that highlights the importance of making responsible choices:

  • A woman debates whether to save her hard-earned money or break her piggy bank to place a bet.
  • A man struggles to choose between using his cash for lunch or risking it on a wager.
  • A woman with worn-out shoes faces the dilemma of buying a replacement or betting on a game.

These narratives deliver a clear message to viewers: “Pag Pusta de Peligro na, pause na muna, dahil ang gaming dapat fun-fun lang!”

To reinforce its advocacy, DigiPlus has introduced self-exclusion features on its gaming platforms. These tools enable users to take control of their gaming habits by setting:

  • Daily gaming durations.
  • Customized gaming schedules, such as limiting play to evenings or lunch breaks.
  • Daily loss limits to ensure financial safety.

These features align with global standards for responsible gaming, providing players with greater control while maintaining the fun aspect of gaming.

DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco expressed the company’s vision for promoting responsible gaming across the Philippines.

“We hope this campaign will spark a national conversation about responsible gaming. We want players to feel empowered to make wise choices, families to feel reassured, and communities to see gaming as a safe form of entertainment. The Pusta de Peligro campaign is a crucial step toward that vision,” Tanco said.

A highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring Teresita Castillo of the International Gambling Counselors Certification Board and financial coach Armand Bengco. The discussion focused on the role of education, early intervention, and expert collaboration in cultivating a culture of safe gaming practices.

“This is just the beginning,” Tanco added. “Responsible gaming is the foundation of a sustainable gaming industry. With Pusta de Peligro, we’re proving that advocacy and innovation can work hand in hand to create a safer, more enjoyable gaming environment for all.”

The ‘Pusta de Peligro’ short films are now available on DigiPlus’ TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube channels, continuing the conversation on responsible gaming and reaching a wider audience.
