- Half Filipino Ian Lodens and partner wins Belgium’s Got Talent

19-year-old Filipino-Belgian dancer Ian Lodens and his partner Natascha Van Es wins the 2018 edition of Belgium’s Got Talent.
The duo won a cash prize of 50,000 euros and has triumphed over 11 other acts with their acrobatic dance routine. Lodens was emotional when announced as the season’s winner and proceeded to praise the other contestants for their showcasing their talent and hard work.
When asked about what he plans to do with the cash prize, he answered that he would visit the Philippines with his Filipino mother, and save the rest for his family and his future.
“With the prize, I would visit the Philippines with my mum, use some of it with the family, and the rest, I’ll save it for my future.”
He also stated that he is happy about being a three-time world jujitsu champion but has never expected that he will someday win Belgium’s Got Talent.
“I am happy to be a three-time world jujitsu champion, but winning ‘Belgium’s Got Talent’ with Natascha is just fantastic… I never expected this, and it feels so great.”
Loden’s then shared how he maintains his fit body and what he did to get into his best shape for the competition.
“I pay attention to my food, I have my martial arts training, jujitsu, karate so I’m like busy with these things.”
Loden’s Filipina mother was also shocked about his son’s win especially that she witnessed how stiff the competition is. She also gave her thanks and appreciated all the support that her son received during BGT. She is also aware of all the encouragement they received from the Filipino community.
“Salamat po sa lahat ng mga Belgian at mga kababayan kong Pinoy na sumuporta kina Ian at Natascha. Napakalaking tulong po ang nagawa nyo para sila ay manalo.”
On the other hand, Loden’s partner Van Es has been doing acrobatics for years now but did not expect to win Belgium’s Got Talent.
