- She said that she didn’t know what it meant, but what she felt was, her dead actor-turned politician dad was telling people to be vigilant.
In an interview with GMA News TV, Senator Grace Poe stated that her late father, the actor known to be King of Philippines Movies—Fernando Poe Jr., sent her a ‘sign’ the night prior to the appointment of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the new House Speaker.
Poe was asked regarding her mother’s reaction toward Arroyo’s ascension and she answered, “Huwag na lang tayong pumunta d’yan, ibang bagay ‘yun napakapersonal,
She narrated during the interview that someone gifted her a framed statements of artists who supported her presidential bid on the eve of President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address.
She admitted that she didn’t know what it meant however, she knew that her father was trying to send a message.
“Sabi ko anong sign ito na parang… I know my dad would not have wanted it for himself… just be vigilant, hindi pa tapos, balik na naman tayo,”
It can be recalled that the late actor lost to Arroyo in Presidential elections in 2004 .
