- The guard reasoned out that he was triggered to shoot the businessman after the latter cursed many times and provoked him to shoot to prove that he really is brave enough.
A businessman was gunned down by a security guard in Binondo, Manila after a heated argument over a parking space.
According to a report by GMA News TW, the businessman was identified as Albert So and the security guard’s name is Jobel Baet. Baet immediately ran away after he shot So multiple times in the chest.
The argument can be seen in one CCTV footage of a condominium. The businessman approached and provoked Baet that even a woman tried to intervene and tried to stop him.
After a few moments, Baet took out his gun and continuously shot So. He ran away after the shooting and was said to have been remoed his clothes along the way.
The police and a few residents have apprehended Baet a few meters from the crime scene.
So wasn’t the only casualty, another security guard named Vivian Ilagan and three more bystanders, which included a child were wounded as well.
In an interview, Baet narrated that So has been fighting with him everyday for the reason that the he confronts him on illegal parking of a motorcycle in front of the building.
“Lagi niya akong minumura doon kasi sa tuwing pinapalipat ang motor niya maam, lagi niya ako inaaway minumura ako.”
He then added that So thrust him many times, cursed him repeatedly and punched him, too, “Dinuduro niya [ko], paulit-ulit niya akong minumura, sinusuntok ako. Sabi niya duwag ka kung matapang ka, bunutin mo baril mo iputok mo.”
According to Baet, he was actually planning to turn in himself to the authorities and ask for forgiveness.
