- Mocha Uson made clear on the news circulating about Concom tapping her to be the ‘lecturer’ on Federalism.
- She also denied the rumors on her taking a Php90 million payment for the job.
- Uson also thanked Senator Nancy Binay for considering her to be a resource person at the Senate’s hearing on Federalism.
A few days ago, it has been reported that the Consultative Committee (Concom) has tapped Presidential Communications Operations Office‘s (PCOO) Mocha Uson to help in the information drive about the proposed government shift to a federal system; and denied it.
The Assistant Secretary has posted a video on her Facebook page, dated August 1, she clarified that the article from a particular news outlet, saying that she will be a lecturer on federalism, is false.
“Unang una po sa lahat, fake news po ang inilabas nitong isang pahayagan na ako daw po ang magiging lecturer pagdating sa federalismo,” she said.
Uson also clarified that she will not be receiving Php90 million to help spread the campaign about federalism. She added that helping disseminate information is a part of her job since she a government employee.
“Pangalawa, fake news po itong sinasabing tatanggap po ako ng 90 million pesos para sa pag-tulong po sa kampanya patungkol dito sa federalismo. Hindi po totoo yan. Trabahante po ako ng gobyerno. Trabaho ko na po ang tumuolong po sa desimination of information patungkol sa federalismo.”
The Asec also relayed a message to Senator Nancy Binay and thanked the latter for suggesting her to be a resource person on the senate hearing about federalism, however, she still doesn’t know her particular role in the campaign since the brainstorming was set yesterday, Friday, August 3, (as of this writing).
“Pangatlo, nagpapasalamat tayo kay Sentator Nancy Binay sa kanyang pag consider sa atin na maging resource person po sa senate hearing on federalism.
Magkakaroon palang po kami ng brainstorming sa Friday kasama ng Concom at PCOO at dun ko palamang po malalaman kung ano po ang aking magiging role dito po sa campaign po sa federalism.”

Senator Binay recently suggested to the committee chair Senator Kiko Pangilinan to invite Uson to the Senate hearing to explain the essential points of the plan to alter the 1987 Constitution.
According to the Senator, “Being the designated messenger, we also wanted to hear how she would articulate or interpret the salient points of the proposed federal charter and explain to the people how a shift in the form of government could move the country forward,”
