Asia’s Songbird has been said to leave GMA Network a handful of times in the past, however, the rumors appeared once again as her husband, Ogie Alcasid, officially signed with ABS-CBN.
People started to question if the speculations are true when Regine liked a comment on her Instagram post, asking if what she’s wearing is for ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime show ASAP.

Although it still remains unconfirmed, an article in PhilStar stated that some GMA executives are not fine with the decision of the singer. As rumors escalate, a number of netizens have reacted negatively to the network-change buzz.
One Twitter user said that it’s really just about money.

When someone contradicted the tweet, the Twitter user continued to accuse Regine of dishonesty and told her not to come back to the Kapuso network.
So may utang na loob ang GMA kay Regine!!??? Nakakatawa ka. Artists come and go, Network stay. Talent sya she’s being paid by the network. My point is… inalagaan sya pero hindi naging honest sa process… pwede naman syang gumawa ng pelikula sa SC and still be loyal! Ganun
Everyone who transferred to ABS is looking for growth… eh di Goodluck sa kanya. Yun lang. I won’t argue anymore coz this is me… I’m after loyalty wag na syang babalik sa GMA pag hindi na sya pinakinabangan ng ABS. Ok!!! Ciao!
