A store owner in China was so angry after catching a shoplifter red-handed that she pulled out the thief’s blouse and her bra, then brought her out of the store for the public to see. The incident brought a crowd of onlookers who gathered outside the store to watch the saga unfold.
Yu Chung, 28, was caught stealing clothes in the shop owned by Mei Hsueh, 39. Instead of waiting for the police to arrive so they can arrest her, Mei took matters into her own hands and quickly stripped the young lady in anger.
Mei later claimed that she did not directly do it to shame Yu, but to teach her a lesson so she would not steal again from her or from other shop owners. She also said she wanted to make sure Yu will not escape, that is why she removed the clothing.
Defending the street justice meted, Mei said, “This thief was trying to steal my clothes to I took off some of hers.”
Yu was actually quite lucky the shop owner only removed her top!
Although the shoplifter begged Mei to have mercy on her, the shop owner was not in the mood to forgive her. When the police arrived, they arrested Yu and charged her with theft but did not file charges against Mei.
