GMA Films is now back from their hiatus that started after the release of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza‘s Imagine You and Me.
The filming has started for the principal photography for the production’s comeback movie, Kambal, Karnabal, starring Derrik Monasterio, Super Tekla, Kiray Celis, Jo Berry, and Kim Domingo. It is directed by Adolf Alix Jr.
It is said that this will mark the start of GMA Films continuous production of movies.

Monasterio shared that he’s very excited about the comeback movie and he’s thankful for those who trusted his skills as an actor.
GMA Films produced some award-winning movies such as Jose Rizal, Muro-Ami, Sa Pusod ng Dagat, Death Row, and a few more others.
After Felipe Gozon took over the film production branch of GMA Network, it was placed on hiatus for about five years.
As they have put out successful movies, they have also produced not-so-successful movies such as Boy Pick-Up: The Movie starring Ogie Alcasid, My Kontrabida Girl starring Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica, Patient X starring Richard Gutierrez and Cristine Reyes, Batanes: Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan starring Iza Calzado and Taiwanese actor Ken Chu of Meteor Garden.
