Divino Villanueva Capil, a resident of Miagao, Iloilo posted a very heart melting video on his Facebook account, with a caption that read: “My Nanay’s reaction after 5 years of being away from home. So much of love & emotion when I surprised her pretending as my kuya’s friend- a ‘Taxi Driver’. #ImHOME.” The video has garnered over a 1.2 million views, 10,000 shares, and 7,500 reactions.
The video started with a 24-year-old lifeguard pretending to be a taxi driver, wearing a face mask and a pair of sunglasses with two boxes of pizza with him, with one of the pizza boxes having a note,”Nay nag-uli nako. Dido :)” which means “I am went home.”
Her mother did not recognize him immediately as he continued to pretend. When he gave the bouquet of flowers, it made her mother asked why there were flowers and Divino responded that it was her birthday. Her mother was still confused of what was happening and Divino requested that she open one of the pizza boxes.

The mother read the note inside the box and finally realized that the delivery boy was really his son who hasn’t come home for five years.
Divino had an interview with PEP.ph via Facebook Messenger to give more details on their preparation for his surprise visit. He actually asked the help of her girlfriend, Love Talamo, and his sibling.
Last video call namin, binola ko sya.

Divino had been living for five years in Davao City where he studied and finally have worked as a lifeguard and an administrative associate in a university.
Capturing his mom Fortunata Capil’s teary-eyed reaction on the video, made netizens feel the happiness that his mother got, and a son’s feeling of missing his own mom.
