A teacher is considered as being the second parent of students in school. They have a great influence on the lives of their students, and they might not know that they will be cherished by their students for the rest of their lives.
Teachers might not remember their entire student roster who had passed under their guidance, but students often remember their teachers, especially the ones that inspire them a lot.
When a teacher named Virginia Padilla Roble broke her left forearm in an accident, she was hospitalized at the Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu City for a couple of days.
And she was attended by one of her former students, Dr. Dilbert Monicit.

During his bedside visits, the student did not discuss payment. And when the teacher was about to be discharged, she received a surprising note handed by one of the nurses.
As it was written on a standard prescription paper, the noted indicated that she didn’t have to pay the doctor’s professional fee because it was “paid 22 years ago!” Being his favorite teacher was his reason in waiving his professional fees.
“Just checked out of Perpetual Succour Hospital.I got this note from the nurses’ station. Thank you for the early Christmas gift, Dr. Dilbert Monicit. Thank you for being there.”

To inspire other people, teacher Roble shared the unique prescription letter on her Facebook page and it went viral.
It is a reminder that when you give more, you could possibly get more than you ever expected. Just like teacher Roble who gave her compassion and knowledge to her students and in return, she never expected to receive free-of-charge service from her former student.
We salute this kind of teachers who truly show their love and compassion that leave a mark in the hearts of her students all throughout their lives.

To receive such blessings is proof that she has shared a lot to inspire the doctor, and others, in life and that is more than any amount of money could buy.
