- The post made on Lapid got into Jimenez’s nerves and he contradicted the statement saying it was a lie
- The candidate names of Lito Lapid and Mar Roxas were on the same front page and he asked how the ink could pass through
- A strategy of campaigning usessocial media but not everybody has good intentions in using it for a fair campaign
Most of the voters are talking about the coming elections in May 2019. And the candidates are busy campaigning in the different parts of the Philippines to make them known better to the voting public.
Another strategy of campaigning is the use of social media, but not everybody has good intentions in using it for a fair campaign; as others resort to spreading fake news to confuse netizens.
On a Twitter post of James Jimenez @jabjimenez commenting on a screenshot post on social media saying: “Repost, Hwag iboto si LITO LAPID nagging VCM technician ako dito sa Davao sabihan nyo mga kakilala, friends, etc. na hwag botohan ci lito lapid dahil tatagos ang ink ng pen sa front page na nandun and name nib MAR ROXAS..kapag sini shade niyo si lapid, ang lalabas sa resibo kay mar roxas kahit kay lapid sinishade nyo..Yan ang nangyari kanina sa final testing ang sealing naming dito., if ever mangyari na mali ang lalabs sa receipt, sabihan ang BEI para masala sa minutes nila. Please spread. Guys kindly spread..thru messenger only”
The post made got into Jimenez’s nerves as he contradicted the statement saying it was a lie. On proving that the statement was wrong, he posted his point of view.
Magsisinungaling lang, mali-mali pa. una, parehong front page ang Lapid at Roxas. Paano “tatagos?” 2nd, hindi magkahilera ang ovals sa front at back page. Paano maging problema ang “tagos?” At, huy! Wala pang final testing & sealing na nagaganap! Masyado ka advance magisip! LOL pic.twitter.com/T4wu8iU4KO

“Magsisinungaling lang, mali-mali pa.”
Firstly, the candidate name Lito Lapid and Mar Roxas are on the same front page and asked how the ink would pass through.
“una, parehong front page ang Lapid at Roxas. Paano “tatagos?”
Second, the problem with the ink to pass through the paper is impossible because the ovals from the front page and back page are not on the same line.
The false claim has circulated widely on Facebook, for example here, where it has been shared more than 9,000 times since it was uploaded on March 3, 2019, and here, where it has been shared more than 10,000 times.
“2nd, hindi magkahilera ang ovals sa front at back page. Paano maging problema ang “tagos?”
And lastly, the final testing and sealing haven’t even started yet, as he said. That is so advance thinking.
“At, huy! Wala pang final testing & sealing na nagaganap! Masyado ka advance magisip! LOL“
Jimenez just slammed the fake news and many have supported him as they shared comments on his Twitter account.
He has a point, Mr Jimenez. Dapat kasuhan para magtanda. In a way parang sabotage na rin ng election ang pagspread ng disinformation. Di sapat ang reply lang sa twitter and fb. Madami pa ring nagtatangahan and gullible.

James has a critical role to play to bring out the truths and weed out the lies. I'm sure he'll just say "…just doing my job" but — impressed by your performance James. 👍

Hahahaha! Comelec will ship out to all regions all VCMs on April 4. All ballots will be shipped on April 24. Each ballot will be a long one. The top page is where the name of candidates are printed. There's no candidate name at the back side. It's a continuous form
