  • In a follow-up post, Teacher Lagrimas was able to find the father and daughter featured in her post to deliver donations

A father and daughter moment inside a jeep went viral on social media, after a teacher overheard their thoughtful and caring conversation and decided to share it on Facebook.

Teacher Geli Fernandez Lagrimas’ took a snapshot of the young girl heading out for school in Dasmariñas, Cavite with her vendor dad accompanying her while posting a snippet of their talk that warmed the netizens’ hearts: “Kanina lang nakasakay ko sila, Katapat ko lang kaya halos naririnig ko ang kwentuhan nilang mag ama.

The teacher explicated that she was happy to see moments like the one she just witnessed and, in her post, went on to thank her father, who also made sacrifices for her and her family members.

Kahit pakiramdam nila pagod sila basta sa pamilya nila go parin. Sakripisyo, Pawis, Pagsusumikap. Kahit kailan hindi matutumbasan yon. Kaya salamat pa!! Makakabawi din kame sayo.”

As her post garnered much attention online, with over 103 thousand reactions and more than 31 thousand shares on Facebook, and netizens offering help the family, Teacher Lagrimas resolved to find the subjects of her post so she could extend the public’s donations to them.

She found Tatay Crisanto and his family living at the back of Kadiwa Hypermarket.

Tatay Crisanto sells candies and other goods to support his family of five kids and makes sure to find time to take care of them so they stay safe all the time. The kids, in return, help out their dad by selling rags after school.

Totoo nga na money can’t buy happiness. Lord thank you ako yung nagsilbing daan to help Crisanto. Hayaan niyo po. (Tingin sa taas),” she added.
