- Wowowin host Willie Revillame implemented new rules on the show following a tragic accident during a studio taping last month
- Only those between 17-70 years old will be allowed to enter the studio
- Revillame also reminded viewers that his program is not a charity show and that he’s not inclined to politics
After a female audience member died, while another was injured in an accident during a studio taping of the variety game show “Wowowin,” Willie Revillame has implemented new rules in the GMA Network game show.
During its March 12 episode, Revillame also reminded viewers that his program is not a charity show, “Itong programa na ito ay nagbibigay ng saya but it’s also a game show. Game of chance…
He then stressed to the audiences that, “Hindi po ako mayor.
Only those between 17-70 years old will be allowed to enter the studio while those who are aged 100 years old and older could simply write the program and Revillame promised that he would send them a jacket.
“Pagpasensyahan niyo na. Ako nagdesisyon nito, walang iba. Kasi kawawa yung mga bata at lola’t lolo. Sana’y intindihin niyo,” said Revillame.
The tragic event in reference to these new rules set by the host took place in the Wowowin studio last January 22, 2019 where two women “lost their balance while singing and dancing during the opening act,” according to the statement released by GMA Network and WBR Entertainment.
Estrella Bognot, 76, hit her head on a fire extinguisher when she fell from a height of 7 1/2 feet while Milagros Espiritu, 68, suffered a fracture.
