- The viral video of kids running away fast from a white van made netizens laugh hard
- Netizens suggest that Dexter Galera use decals or signages on his van to clear any misunderstandings
A van is a type of road vehicle used for transporting goods—or in this particular and popular notion, transporting people. White vans especially have been notorious in both fiction and non-fictional stories of kidnapping, where they are used by kidnappers as their get-away vehicle.
One netizen posted on his Facebook account a funny video where two kids were seen running away fast from him when he was driving his white van home.
Galera timed the young girls’ shock at seeing his white van drive past them with a background song of JK Labajo’s hit-song Buwan, which made the clip all the more hilarious for it.
The combination of white vans and kidnapping incidents has been an urban legend in Philippine society. Netizens were certainly familiar with it, making Galera’s video post viral with 3.2 million views and 180 thousand reactions, and 143 thousand shares online in less than 24 hours from posting-time.

One netizen commented, “ang bagal mo kasi magpatakbo,” rationalizing the girls’ reaction to the video.
While another suggested that the original poster put decals on his van with “Di ako nanguguha ng bata pre” to avoid anymore misunderstandings.
