Cannot take the heat? Netizen exposes popular shoe designer’s rants after she gave opinion on his product

  • A netizen shared that she preferred Jojo Bragais shoes vs Nere Ku’s and the latter designer sent her a PM to lecture her about shoes and her ‘wrong’ opinion’
  • Hannah Hope Ramos shared screenshots of Nere Ku’s heated rants to her and the shoe maker even disclosed that he has an existing ‘beef’ with Bragais
  • Netizens commented that Nere Ku was very unprofessional, and cannot take any criticisms for his products

A netizen shared on Facebook how a Dubai-based Filipino designer privately messaged her, after she declared online that she preferred using another shoe maker’s product.

Social media user Hannah Hope Ramos shared Nere Ku’s post about receiving an inquiry from a potential buyer asking him if he could try to copy Jojo Bragais’ shoe designs. The latter shoe maker was known for nude platform pageant heels, which have been the official shoes of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant since 2015.

Nere Ku took offense from the buyer’s request and remarked that it may be a prank fitting April Fool’s Day. Ramos reacted to that and shared her thoughts, saying “Tbh, Bragais is way better. Can attest to that because I have and I wore them both. Bragais is the perfect pageant shoes just saying.”

The designer then aimed his focus on Ramos and went on to send her direct messages on Facebook. Ramos posted screenshots of Nere Ku’s messages where the designer ended up in a long tirade and drivel about Ramos’ feedback.

“Sorry but I don’t fabricate like this for you to say WAY BETTER,” Nere Ku fired back, pointing out that the shoe was made for a contestant in Miss Batangas pageantry and the specifications of the shoe was made in accordance to that contestant’s foot size and not Ramos.’

The netizen then went on to give “proof shots” for Nere Ku to believe her that she has indeed tried using his shoes on. “I am just giving criticism about your shoes comparing them to other brands. Ganyan po ba kayo ka-professional tumanggap ng reviews ng product nyo? And if free nakuha ng isang candidate it means hindi nya deserve ang isang good quality product?” shot Ramos back.

The shoe maker even dragged Bragais to the conversation saying that he started earlier than him, and disclosed that that the go-to shoe designer in the national pageant scene has an outstanding “beef” with him.

Speaking of Bragais’ products, Nere Ku wrote “(You are) COMPARING A CHEAPLY MADE shoes to a quality made shoes now if (you) think na mas deserve mo ang isa WALANG PUMIPIGIL SA LEVEL NG TASTE AT ACCEPTANCE MO… pero (I’m) answering (you) as (you) compare me saying WAY BETTER??? I WILL LOOK STRAIGHT and WILL TELL (YOU) THIS… HINDING HINDI.”

He then went on a long lecture about the shoes’ slopes and platform sizes.

Netizens who have read Ramos’ story found the shoe designer “unprofessional” for his rants.

“Fragile ego,” one Facebook user said.

Natawa ko sa atensyon seeker. Eh sya tong gumagawa ng eksena,” wrote another netizen.

In an interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer way back in 2013, Nere Ku was quoted saying, “Shoes are art pieces. They should define your personality”—one could only hope to see his avant garde, whimsical designs reflect back to him.
