- Cat owners are more likely to possess a college degree
- Cat owners are more educated
- Cat owners stand up for what they believe in
Having a pet is one of the best things you can do in life. Pets do not care if you’re broke or rich, ugly or attractive, they just love you for who you are. Cats and dogs are the most common domesticated animals in the world. But did you know, cat lovers are more intelligent than dog lovers? This might sound crazy but Steve McKeown would argue to that.
There are more than 500 million domesticated cats in the world. They have superior sense of smell and hearing, and can live up to 15 years!
Just like dogs, they help relieve stress from their owners, and can also help in grieving.
Steve McKeown of the Mckeown Clinic says that there was a study conducted on 600 participants, specifically college students, and found that cat owners are more likely to hold college degrees compared to dog owners.
Cat owners also tend to score higher on intelligence tests and are more educated. Furthermore, the study found that cat owners are non-conformists, which basically means they stand up for what they believe in regardless of what anyone has to say, which can be related to the independence that cats have and are known for.
This is because educated people are more likely to work long hours and look for pets that fits well into their lifestyle.
None of these really matter. What’s important is that we have a great connection with our pets.
Netizens, who were mostly cat lovers, agreed with the study. How can you even resist their cuteness?
