Many women would risk undergoing a knife to gain extra size on their boobies. This is not the case for Kerisha Mark from Texas who underwent surgery to cut off a large portion of her shocking 36NNN breasts.
The 40-year-old woman was suffering from a condition known as gigantomastia wherein a person’s breast weight exceeds 3% of her body weight.
Kerisha said all she ever dreamed off was making her busts smaller, “I could not run or jump or work out at all. I was very limited in a lot of things I could do.” She added that she had been forced to use duct tape to hold them in place.
It was estimated her breast each weighed 6.8kg. She told the Washington Post that it was causing her neck and chest pains which she feared were leading to heart attack.
So to mark her 40th birthday, Kerisha gave herself a treat to the doctor to bring her size down to a double-D.
Dr. Franklin Rose, a plastic surgeon from Houston, who operated on the patient, told The Post that in his 35 years in the industry, he could not remember seeing a patient with larger breasts. “The breasts really hung down to her hips and were essentially like carrying around three basketballs at all times because they were so large,” he said. “When we went into the exam room – I don’t know if I would use this word ‘shocking’, but it was certainly startling to see breasts of that magnitude.”
The surgeon explained he recruited a colleague to help with the four-hour operation, where he removed 15lbs of breast tissue.
Kerisha said she plans to start exercising again, and is excited to buy new clothes. According to her when she stood up for the first time, she felt so light.
“My first thing on the agenda is to purchase a beautiful bra and second is to buy a strapless dress.”
