An unnamed Twitter user shared his conversation with his mom who managed to crack a joke in spite of having a huge problem she was facing.
“Hindi ko alam paano pa nakukuhang tumawa at magbiro ng nanay ko sa kabila ng nangyayari sa kanya 🙁 hindi ko nagawang tawanan yung sixbomb nya. Naiiyak ako.Pakiramdam ko pasan ko ang buong mundo.”
His mother just informed him that she had been diagnosed with cancer. She told him that she will book tickets for him and siblings to come back home so she could hug them, something she said was all that she needed.
In his mother’s message, she said that their family is very competitive in facing challenges in their life. He has his own health conditions to deal with while his father became comatose and his mother got cancer. His mom encourages them to be strong.
“Ito na yung pinakamalungkot na taon ng buong buhay ko 😞 sana ako nalang yung na comatose hindi yung tatay ko sana ako nalang yung may cancer hindi si mama.” he wrote on his other tweet.
He had a conversation with his mom on Facetime for almost an hour and what he can see was her mother who wears a smiling face as if she was not diagnosed with cancer. But what makes him really breaks his heart is that after the call their helper texted him and said that her mother was started to cry.
“Ka-FaceTime ko si mama for almost an hour and tumatawa lang naman siya di mo makikitang nalulungkot sya, na may cancer siya. Pero after ng call namin nagtext sakin yung helper namin na iyak si mama ng iyak ngayon hindi daw tumitigil. It really breaks my heart :/” he said.
He then sent a message to his mom and told that he knew that she was crying while trying to give her encouragement.
As he also thanked the people and friends who prayed for and supported them.
